ELSEWHERE follows four athletes on a self-propelled and self
documented freeride expedition in the Alps. Camping and skiing deep in high
alpine terrain, they enter a quiet, surreal space — close in distance, yet far from
everyday life. The film uses the metaphor of a prism to express this fragile, inbetween
world. Slowly revealed, it dissolves again as the journey ends. A personal
poem, written and spoken by one of the athletes, adds emotional depth to this
immersive mountain experience.
